While surfing around trying to find out how many 69 runners are still out their. Ran across new car's released. They stated that a new runner was suppose to come out in 2017 or 18. But they where still working on it so 2019 or 20 was the new date. I would have a 460 motor and did not tell much else. Can't say it looked like the new charger or challenger. But similar to them. Or may be like the new Cuda. I would list for 53.000 or so. I don't know if this was a hoax or not. Maybe it will come to past and we can see what the future runner look's like.

Yep it dose not have the body style one would be looking for in a runner. I thought that the 71-73 did not look like a runner either.

I had to look that up. It doesn’t work. Still a challenger. The winged ones are pretty ugly.
Where did you find your info Jack R. just would like to see more pic's of it. Not that I am going to buy one at the price they stated it's list price.

One could only hope Russ, but I doubt it :beep:
Say TOMRR the list price was 53.000. Now add sales tax and tag with title transfer. Also dealer prep this thing could reach close to 60 grand. Think I will keep working on my old 69 runner. I freak when people want to put their hand's on it now. Now I know why a lot of guy's put them in trailers when taking them to the car show's.

I just watched a video of 1of 2 Supper bird built. Yes it is a Dodge Challenger. Showed under hood and my hart started pumping with a belt driven turbo charger on it. The guy stated he bought it for 52 grand. The killer was it had Dodge on the rear trunk panel. Neat looking car. Guess it would be a special order car. If I hit the Lotto guess I would get one Maybe.

Personally, I really hope they will let the name live in peace.
I hope it is off the table and safe with Plymouth's demise.
All it would be is a rebadging of some modern car abomination with none of the cachet of the original.
Other than possibly drawing attention to the classic, what would be the point, really?

I agree with that Rapid Transit. But it is a conversation piece. Watch the video and you will see what I said about the motor. I dose look pretty cool. Even though it is not the Plymouth runner we all know and love. I know where a 73 runner is for sale it need's all kind's of work and are hard to get metal part's for it. But to me it is just not the runner's produced between 68-70. These are the real runner's of the day. Russ.

also read something about this not long ago, that FCA took out a patent on the Barracuda/Cuda names again, were toying with the idea turning one of these new challengers into a cuda.

And darn, I paid $50k for my Boss. By the time I got through with taxes, registration, hidden fees and 1st year’s insurance. It was crazy back in ‘12, cars just not available and sh-tbird dealers tried raising price above MSRP even. Had Plymouth’s and Dodges for decades. Loved the ‘71 Duster wife had, 318 cid.
