Wheels

IT IS CRITICAL your wheels are the correct fit or they will not work. Risky buying used wheels unless they come off the same type/model car that you have. I mentioned in an earlier post that I got my Cragar black powder coated rims through Discount Tires and because they are not chromed they were not expensive and are NEW!! Wouldn't think of any unknown aftermarket knockoffs for a car that we all have poured a ton of money into.

Those chrome slots I posted the pics of are $255 for 15x7 and 265 for 15x8, you specify what back spacing you want

Paid $90 for the rims (brand new from Discount Tires) plus a few bucks for the chrome (steel chrome) center pieces. The is the wheel... and they look fantastic on Road Runners... I get a ton of complements from other guy (and Mopar) guys

I have not seen those wheels. However looking on Facebook I seen an ad for 4 Cragar SS 15x7 wheels looked pretty good and he said very few scratches for 250.00.
Found a set then was disappointed the add was old. They are hard to find those used. Remember to check the back set on them.

Yes those are very sharp. They should really set that blue Bird off. Your bud Big Mo.

Those look to be aluminum slots made by several different manufacturers over the years. They look close but different.

I know ford had a very similar wheel locally, also called the jelly bean rim. Came on the GTHO's in late 60's to early 70's. But they were definitely an Aussie Valiant factory wheel. See them all the time on super-correct restos at the shows. They might be reproductions of them, as they kind of disappeared for a while. Now, like most old stuff, starting to pop up again from nowhere.

Those 245 and 265's came out in everything down here. Seen some rusty farm trucks with the trusty 245 still ticking over. Plenty of triple webber setups floating around. Unfortunately no big blocks ever made the long swim over here.

Too bad about the big block's not making it over to you guy's. We should consider our selves luck here in the US. Bigger was better in the day. 442's. 351's 427's. 426's plus the 440's. Might just add the 472 the caddie had. In the coupe Deville.

finally got the new wheels and tires put on. Center caps were delayed but I will be throwing those on ASAP. I think they turned out ok ‍♂️
