Hello all. I just purchased a 69 383 4spd. Pix to follow soon. On its way to me mid-week from AZ. Not my first Mopar, likely not my last.

The gentleman owned it for the last three or four years in Lake Havasu city. Prior to that a previous owner had done a frame off resto 12 years ago.

Nice. Thanks everyone. The car should be arriving Wednesday or Thursday. I’ll get pictures and a description then. I purchased 2 nice red air vents for the hood on eBay so my baby can breath easier.
I know I need tires because they have been on the car for 12 years. I’d like to go as wide as possible in the back without doing any modifications. I checked on the forum and it seems some people have had luck with 10 inch. I was thinking 9 1/2 or 10 on a 15 wheel size. Any input would be appreciated. Thank you

I run 15 x 10's with 28 x 10.5 slicks at the track, no problem. And my car sits pretty low

thanks. Good to hear. I’ve been researching this a little . It seems I can get away with 15 x 10 with 4 1/2 or 5 inch backspacing. Thinking about 295/15/50 Radials in the back Since I need to get new tires for the car. I’m not sure what I would do upfront maybe 245s

It’s been a very event full day. Got the car today and had to pick it up in the rain 2 miles from home in a large parking lot. it’s set up like a race car but is not a race car. the rear must be a 410, motor was just rebuilt last year and has 800 miles on it it is 585 hp 600 tq with lots of High end goodies, 4spd, original 383 block was used for the rebuild and I have the numbers matching original components stored away. Car was restored 12 years ago and from what I can tell has had 2 or 3 owners in that time. It drives like a bucking bronco which I was informed by the previous owner I would need to swap out the rear. It has skinny tires I’m looking to go old-school 15x 10 in the back. Also I’ll be swapping out the rear. The AC does not work which I was aware of. the compressor works but the cold air does not kick on. I thought it could be actuator or something simple. I took it for a 20 mile ride and after getting hit with a very brief sun-shower smoke started from under the hood. long story short both belts melted and I snapped them off to avoid a fire. That being said it was still a great day and I’m now the owner of a beautiful 69 road runner!
