I have a 68 hemi roadrunner and the original color is ok but,, IT'S JUST not my favorite color for my car.Im wanting to change it to Red..I really like my car but if it was Red,I'd be ok at being buried in in .. I hate to go against the trim tag.The cost to change the color on everything but the under side is $16K.The way it is , To me Its a top shelf car the way it is.....If i was to ever have to sale for some unknown reason, what is a reasonable amount I probably would expect lose to sell it ?????

I would say 15 - 20 k as that would be what a collecter would expect to spend to put it back original. On the other hand red sells better so may balance out. What color is it now?

True ...I knew it was yellow when I bought it but it is such a good car.If I have to keep it Yellow, that will b fine with me!! I just would rather it b Red...Everyone has a preference, Blondes or Brenettes
Yellow is more rare I'm sure
I wish I did know how many was made of each color offered

Buy you a project car and paint it the color of your choice and leave a high end Hemi car factory. you can do a project car for the same amount of $$$$$s it would take to do a high end repaint. that's just my thought, I like yellow cars as much as any of the colors that was offered on the 68s. look at my car its Petty blue from the factory and I can't say I would have bought a Petty blue car in 68 but its starting to grow on me since the restoration.IMG_5016.JPG

Tough question - but only if you really care what others think. Ive seen some hideous "resto-mods", so i dont think a simple colour change would kill the car. Not nearly as much as some new racy bucket seats and drink holders and 22's anyway.

I say do what you want with your car.

I'm looking at a friends #s match V code Cuda shaker hood 4 speed he painted a different color and wants big money for it. From my end I told him I'd have to blow the whole car apart and sand a beautiful paint job off. Most likely he will be waiting for someone that likes the color more than the originality of the car. Oh both are great high impact colors the original and what he painted it.
