Hello everyone Paul here from Houston, Tx, originally from South Philly. My uncle had a 1969 Road Runner and he taught me how to drive a standard (not so standard anymore) when I was 12 years old (could barely see over the dash). I have had a bunch of Mopars in the past but this one is special to me. I found this Road Runner which is exactly like his in T3 Honey Bronze Metallic with N96 & V21. This one is rough and needs lots of TLC. Missing the air grabber hood, air cleaner is missing, fender tag wrong color, firewall needs to be painted, interior is a mess (don’t get me started) and pistol grip shifter (1970). There is more but super excited to dig into this project and to learn as much as I can from y’all (you all). Will need some help to get this old girl into shape and she will be coming to Texas from Hobart, Indiana in the next couple of weeks. Thanks,
Paul

Welcome from Va. Congratulations! I see a lot of potential.
Thanks and I do too. I was super excited to see the N96 & V21 code on the fender tag. When it gets delivered I will check the seats and gas tank for the broadcast sheet. Cannot wait.

It’s rusty in the typical areas, trunk, wheel wells and rear quarter panels. I have my work cut out for me, no pun intended.

Thank you for the warm welcome, the Road Runner came yesterday and is in very rough shape. There seems it had a resident squirrel living in the car and stored it’s acorns in the glove box and head liner. So I mad quick work of pulling the head liner and vacuumed the mess up. Lots of rust and acorns.

I've heard of mice crawling up the exhaust all the way to the exhaust valve, build a nest and ruin the cylinder. Rodent piss will rust metal very quickly.

Saw on one forum a guy found pinecones all in his car. Even in the doors. All up in the engine bay. Those things were everywhere. So, know that squirrel was not going to starve during the winter. At least you did not have a rattlesnake take up residence in the car like one guy went to look at a runner opened the hood and there he was laying up on the motor. That was in north Texas. The car had a tree fall across the top of the car and was dented in pretty good, so he did not buy the car. But they got the snake evected.
