On my 71 Charger R/T back in 78-79 I used an adjustable turnbuckle with 2 short lengths of chain... The difference in my purple stripe cammed, upgraded springs/locks/retainers, 6bbl equipped 71 440 and the stock 71 440 4bbl that was in my 71 Charger R/T back in 78 is literally night and day. Once I got the 6bbl straight, MAN! When those outboard carbs open...what a RUSH!

Thanks Russ. No, straight from being media blasted to clear coat. They look awesome polished, but I don't have the time, and it costs a LOT of money to have it done, but it is very labor intensive. I almost prefer polished aluminum to chrome, in this case for sure. Maybe one day...
