    Build date 3 characters 1st character 1 through 9 = Jan through Sept 1 = Jan 2 = Feb etc. Oct = A Nov = B Dec = C next 2 characters = day of that month 02 = the 2nd 13 = the 13th etc.

    Well, back in '68 some people made many bad color choices (and didn't know it). But you never know, the red on green may work (think Christmas).

    As I understand it (and I'm no expert) but I THINK the "H" under the s may be RED Horizontal stripe, which MAY be the fine pin stripe that goes along the length of the car. Does that make any sense to you. What color was your car originally. In this case, for me, it's a WAG

    Just signed up. Thought I would introduce myself. My name is Frank and currently live in sunny NM. I retired here about 6 years ago from Chicago (brrrrr :loco: ) I don't have a '69 but I do have a '68. I guess thats close enough. Glad to be here Frank :cheers:
