There is basically no adjusting for the console itself. It fits nicely under the stock dash (non a/c). Just make some brackets to bolt it down. My car was a non console 4 speed and I removed the 4 speed hump. You may need to remove any existing brackets. There was quite a lot of work...
For those looking for a more modern console, here are some pics of the console is installed in the road runner. I also have an e body slap stick shifter inside the console. There is a small piece of rubber seal to be added in front of the shifter face plate to take up the gap that is there.
