69 Roadrunner with orange box ignition. Turn the key, and it cranks but won't fire till I let the key spring back to the run position. The ballast checks good at 1.5 ohms. After it starts, it runs great.

I used an SSBC-USA kit and no spindle replacement was needed.

Was it originally a 22-inch radiator? If you go to a 26, you should widen the opening where the radiator mounts for more airflow. I have an aluminum Cool Craft 22-inch, 160-degree thermostat, a shroud, and an electric fan, and this is where mine runs in the CA desert. A bit hot for my liking...

Has anyone used a 440 Source Dist 117-1000 with and orange box? The dist comes with an MSD connector, orange/black and purple/black wires. MSD says on it's connector, orange/black is positive. What are the + and - pins on the 4 pin orange box that connect to the dist pick up?

Another consideration is as wire gets older the natural resistance increases. That adds to the ohm reading and will throw off your gas gauge. These cars are 50+ years old now. I replaced my tank unit and it reads the same 3/4 as it did with the old tank unit. I fill up when I see 1/8.

I installed a set from 440 Source right out of the box on my 440, their version of a 509 purple shaft, and their lifters, and pushrods. I used the stock stamped steel rockers and Fel-Pro head gaskets and everything is fine for more than a year now. Runs strong. I'm satisfied.

I used SSBC and yes there is a new owner. I had to have the two 5/8 in holes drilled out on the caliper mount but other than that is fits and works great. A bit more pricy than other brands too.

I got this original style chrome one from Mancini Racing. They also have the black ones. I added the 440 Four Barrel sticker because I cannot find the correct 440 Super Commando Pie Tin. I like it.

Are you going with the cold air hood assembly?

Tony's Parts maybe. It seems like a lot of after-market parts are not being made anymore. I can't find 440 air cleaner pie pans anywhere. Someone said Chrysler is not making or licensing parts to be made anymore. Maybe they want us all to go to the Gen 3 HEMI.
