    Rear Gears

That is really cool, thanks. Looks like about 70 mph at 3200 rpm with the 3.91 gears. I rarely, if ever, drive on the freeway with this car, so 3.91s might be a lot of fun around town. Thanks again

    Rear Gears

I have a 69 Roadrunner with a bit above stock 440, a 4-speed, and a 509 cam. I have to slip the clutch to get it going with the stock 3.23 gears. What ratio would you guys run, 3.73 or 3.91??

    440 overheating

I used an aftermarket shroud on my aluminum radiator, a high-flow pump, a 160 ° thermostat, and an 18-inch flex fan by Derale. Works great. No more running hot.

    440 overheating

I had an overheating issue with my homemade shroud and an electric fan on my aluminum radiator. I kept the radiator but installed an aftermarket shroud, a high-flow water pump and thermostat, and an 18-inch flex fan. Fixed me right up. Runs around 175 even on a very hot day.

    Temp too high??

I changed to an 18-inch mechanical flex fan, Milodon high-flow water pump, 160 high-flow thermostat, and a stock-style shroud. I had to trim the shroud a bit to get it to fit on my aluminum radiator, but it has tons of airflow now and runs very cool.

    440 Source Distributor

Make sure you have a good #27 Interstate Battery with 1000 CA. I think the cheap remanufactured battery I had couldn't provide enough current to crank and power the ECU at the same time.

Cranks but only fires in run

UPDATE!!! I installed a new #27 Interstate Battery. 1000 CA. Fires fine now in start. I think the cheap remanufactured battery I had couldn't provide enough current to crank and power to the ECU at the same time.

Need pux of 1969 b body 22" radiator with shroud

Good Idea. The homemade shroud is really nice. I will try that first. Thanks

Electric fan for 22" radiator for overheating

I have an electric fan, a 160 thermostat, a homemade shroud, and an aluminum radiator. Gets to the upper end of the gauge during the summer but doesn't overheat. I'm going back to all original cooling equipment for one of my winter projects.

Need pux of 1969 b body 22" radiator with shroud

I hear the original style copper radiator, fan shroud, and mechanical fan is the best way to go for cooling. I have an aluminum radiator, a homemade shroud, and an electric fan. Not impressed with the cooling. One of my winter projects is to go back to stock.

    383 oil pan leakage?

I used a Fel-Pro rear seal kit, the stock aluminum housing, and some RTV in the corners. No leaks.

Cranks but only fires in run

69 Roadrunner with orange box ignition. Turn the key, and it cranks but won't fire till I let the key spring back to the run position. The ballast checks good at 1.5 ohms. After it starts, it runs great.
