I've got tti and they fit like a glove. Very nice but expensive.

My first thought is an exhaust leak at the header or manifold.

I installed tti 2 1/2" headers on a hemi with Indy heads into a 4 spd roadrunner and they fit great. Only issue was finding the right starter.

I don't know why a stock unit wouldn't work. If you have any questions you could call the folks at Brewer Performance. They are very helpful. I bought a clutch assembly from them and had no trouble.

I put a set of Firm Feel tubular A-arms in mine. I don't know if they are really an improvement but they work fine and I like dealing with FirmFeel.

I would replace it all since you're already in there.
