    ANYONE RECOGNIZE THIS BIRD

Welcome! Are you on Facebook as there are a number of pages that might help you find info on your car? Lost Muscle Cars is a popular one but there are other pages and groups as well.

`70 road runner - finally getting to the restoration!

Passenger side fender mostly stripped, some filler but not nearly as bad as the drivers side.

`70 road runner - finally getting to the restoration!

Ya  I`m starting to lose motivation but I need to keep plugging away at it. Once I get the fenders, trunk lid and hood done and in epoxy primer I get to spray the high build and spend many more hours blocking the whole car out.

`70 road runner - finally getting to the restoration!

Blizzard outside yesterday but work continues on fenders.

`70 road runner - finally getting to the restoration!

Previous hack work, looks like they torched out a section of inner reinforcement for access to bang out a dent on the passenger fender. I guess the positive is they didn't drill holes for a dent puller.

`70 road runner - finally getting to the restoration!

Lots of stud welding and pulling.

`70 road runner - finally getting to the restoration!

Good news is they are not rusty but had some filler I dug out and will have to spend some time straightening with the stud gun, hammer and dolly.

`70 road runner - finally getting to the restoration!

Ok so had a major fiasco with my garage heater and ended up replacing it. That cost put a serious dent in the budget so no buying road runner stuff for a while but work can still continue. I finished straightening the trunk lid edges but waiting for decent enough weather to blast some small...

Roadrunner's Value Is Based On A Typo

There were many calling this a fake/made up vin tag but the factory mistake in typing is a much more plausible explanation. The only thing I disagree with is that there are plenty of guys who would have known there were no Hemi cars built at LA even if they had installed the reinforcements.

FACTORY FILLER FOR TAIL LIGHT EXTENSIONS

3M strip caulk - used between panels like fender to inner fender and other places luke the quarter extensions and pretty sure it's very similar to what the factory used.

    340 CID?

`69 had three engine options - 383, Hemi or mid-year intro 440-6. The 340 was not available until `71 and continued to `73, in `74 the 360 replaced the 340.

    Numbers matching valuation

Depends on the model, options etc. and as Rapid said it depends on how much of the car is original vs being restored. You said it`s a 383 car all original - do you mean an original survivor car or needs resto, colors and options might also matter as it would have less effect on price on a less...

Is this 1970 Plymouth Road Runner worth saving?

That one above is definitely not my taste but s long as the owner likes it that`s all that matters and how someone spends their money is their choice. It is great to hear you drive your road runner, IMO nothing worse than a cool, fast muscle car that only sees a garage, trailer and show field.

Is this 1970 Plymouth Road Runner worth saving?

There was no "attack" intended and maybe I mistook your post as well as it seemed kind of "braggy" to me.. Sorry if it came across that way, good for you that have the resources to be able to have that built. My point was that it doesn`t NEED to cost anywhere near that much whether you do the...

Is this 1970 Plymouth Road Runner worth saving?

Looks like a very nice, high end build. Yes, anything can be restored but it doesn`t have to cost anywhere near that much. If you look at the restoration threads you can see some of us do a lot of our own work. I am restoring my road runner in my garage and plan to have less than $40k into it...

Is this 1970 Plymouth Road Runner worth saving?

I saw it on FB. Worth it is up to the individual restoring it, I put way more time and money into my lowly `72 Barracuda than it will ever be worth money wise but it has sentimental value to me. Although it could be straightened with a lot of hours on a rack IMO it be easier to just re-body that...

New project and first time builder

Only issue is it was hit so might be out of whack, putting it on a frame rack to check the measurements before replacing the rail would probably be a good idea.
