Billy the correct way to do this would be to have a plating shop strip the anodized surface. This would save hours of sanding and labor. You can if you want to go at it use some scotch brite wheels. Check this site http://www.labenson.com/wheels.html for the various types. Once you get rid of...
Thanks for the replies. But realistically I always think it's better to over insure slightly. A buddy of mine reffered me to a guy down the street to my shop. We'll see what it appraises for. And yes because it's a blue car it's worth 10k more. :beep:
Just wondering where a good place to get an appraisal that an insurance company can use to truly insure the value of my car? I requested that Farmers insure my vehicle for 45K. Just wondering if you guys think that's to high or low? I think it's where it needs to be. The car is a numbers...
I did the same thing. The gaskets I removed where clearly shot at one of the exhaust ports . The Remflex gaskets at the collector and exhaust manifold are tit's. The car has definately improved from the time I bought it.
The vinyl part is easy. My dad works at Just Dashes. He paints everything that comes out of that place. I would have to get a 68 and 69 version to see what it would take. I have a few sources for stamping metals, casting and I have a machine shop.
If anyone has a guinea pig they would care to...
My neighbor makes buttons for a living. I bet he can duplicate these with ease. I might be able to CNC the mold to press these. I wonder if aside from my needs if anyone else would need these? And if the 68 version is different by how much?
What if you could make a repop's that looks just as good but does not have the retainers ion the back? Does anyone have an image of the back? These look like thin stamped stainless pieces.
Anyone have a close up picture of correct 1969 type? I can probably fabricate these without issue. I just need to know if the center painted part is something other than metal? If anyone has 1 laying around I can give it a shot. I would also think the back has a small ring to stitch onto.
Well I finally got the title and emailed it to them. I talked to the woman on the other line and she said that she is going to research it. I get the feeling I will not see the broadcast sheet. They pitched me a sales routine on other services they offer. :soap: I was also kind enough to email...
Although it might be nice to think that one can come here and assimilate into this American dream. One will always face challenges. I myself am from Mexico. I was born there and stayed there a total of 14 days. I am now an American citizen. But even with that I still come across racism. I cannot...

Our future generations our totally for lack of a better word getting reamed.
So I was puzzled as to why the charging system on my car was not working. I decided to take another stab at it. I took the voltage regulator apart and noticed it was the same exact solid state one on Ebay. I started to check the wires and found that the green wire from the voltage regulator to...
The delay is on my end. I am still waiting for the Republic of Kalifornistan's DMV to send me the title. :stooges: Once I have this they can verify I am the legit owner. So far they have been responsive. I will post my results.
Found this on Fleabay. Just wondering if anyone has experience with it. It seems to be an OEM replica with solid state internals. it's 25.00 with free shipping. the one at Autozone list for 26.99

Oh by the way the alternator is not charging . It read 8.6 volts. Time for a rebuild. :rimshot:
John will the VR706 work with a Pertronix ignitor? I should have just bought the Mopar distributor and electronic ignition kit instead. I recently put the Pertronix in and last night while out for a drive the headlights where super dim. Charging system took a crap. Not sure if it's the voltage...
Guys I picked up the brackets and fan shroud at the Mopar Spring Fling. The people from http://www.themoparshop.com
had a booth. So far it;s a great fit. i know some people had issues with fan shrouds but the guy said these should hold up. :beep:
