70 Road Runner. Has anyone found or fabricated a fresh (cool ? ) air intake for the dual snorkel original air cleaner ? It's pretty hot under that hood & I'd like to improve the intake air a little. Thanks, Rocket
I don't know if this has been listed here before, but I've heard about Gaylen not providing decoding & thought this might help:
Paint Codes & Cross Reference : www. paintref.com.
Fender Tags Decoded : www.stockmopar.com.
I submitted my fender tag & it was decoded in seconds. FREE ...
Fuel pressure, although a contributor, is not the same as flow. You can have a lot of pressure in a hose, but unless the other end is open, there will be no flow. Fuel pump volume ( flow rate ), hose diameter, fuel filter cleanliness & flow rate ( Fram sometimes rates its fuel filters by...

I have an original 70 Road Runner & I'm planning to exchange the 4 speed with Passon for a rebuilt unit. But not if matching numbers get lost. Does the original trans. have any matching numbers to the engine or frame ? Thanks, Rocket
The easiest & fastest way to determine a "close" value is to list it on eBay with a huge reserve so it does not sell below what you want. Some don't like eBay, but it represents capitalism at its finest and gives you a small insight to it's value. Good luck with this difficult decision, Rocket
New owner. 70 Roadrunner. My horn has only a single green wire with a red tracer connected. But inside the harness housing is a second identical wire that I "assume " was intended for the second horn on the standard Belvedere/Satellite models. Should I connect both wires to the horn ? Advantages...
Thanks. I just found out that although mine is an original Mopar electronic ignition, it is from 72 & later . Imagine my surprise ! That explains why I can't find a 1970 wiring diagram that shows the electronic ignition. A lot of changes can occur in 45 years.
Although the owner's manual for the 70 Roadrunner promotes the electronic ignition, and my 70 has it, the factory workshop manual does not include it. Only the points distributor and its wiring diagram are listed. I need the wiring diagram for the 70 electronic ignition. In particular the...
Following an earlier posting, I looked on eBay for horn paint. The correct purple color is Testors 1234 and there are several for sale on eBay for under $10. including shipping. Yes, this is model car paint, but it looks great. Hope this helps someone out there. Rocket
69hemibeep: Thanks for the info. on RedLine Gauges. A complete restoration, rebuilding and silk-screening the gauges, converting the clock to quartz & amps to volts: About $900.-$1100. They told me that the cluster would come back to me as new & original. Now, I just have to wait till next...
70 Roadrunner. Want to restore the instrument cluster & use original-looking gauges. No digital or aftermarket that don't match. I've seen that the amp gauge should be converted to volts & the clock to a modern internal construction. Contacted a restorer ( Instrument Specialists ) who quoted...
New owner. 70 Roadrunner with 4 wheels of the Dreaded Drums. I'm planning to install a 4 wheel disc brake conversion and want opinions. So far, I've looked seriously at PSI, MP Brakes & Wilwood. The MP kit uses the original drum spindles, but others require disc spindles which makes me wonder if...
