Looking for a new or excellent condition trunk lid for my '69. Mine has some rust along the edge by the lock. I'm worried about it coming back even if fixed. The rest of my lid is in great shape. Live near Cincinnati.

I'll take them. I'll work with you to figure out when I can come to pick them up. I'm retired so everyday is Saturday. What day of the week works best for you? I'll likely drive up and stay at a hotel. Pick them up first thing in the morning then head home. Thanks, Bruce

Thinking. I wouldn't be able to pick them up until early March. Would cost too much to ship.

Thanks for the follow-up. I would have to unmount the tires to paint the wheels, so would replace the tires. By the time I used them, they would be 10 years old. Tires really have no value to me. Looking at shipping costs, or me driving up to pick them up, it would cost another couple hundred...

What are the date codes on the tires? Thanks.

Yes, V21 on the fender tag or build sheet. My stripes were included in the A14 special road runner spring package for $317. Included the vinyl roof, road wheels, belt moulding, the performance hood paint, sport stripe, sure grip differential, and the F70x14 tires.

I believe for a '69, code V21 Hood Performance Treatment defines whether there is the black stripes or not.

Search Tempest searches all of Craigslist as well as other sites. Doesn't always find the same things that you would if you went to a specific city, but certainly good for a broad search.

Flattened result. Steaming made the paper much more flexible. The wax paper was good that I put on top of it before books as it was clear enough to allow smoothing out before putting weight on.

Wife was boiling some eggs tonight, so perfect opportunity to steam the sheet. Softened up nicely. It is between two sheets of wax paper and under some heavy books. Will check it in a couple of days. Thanks.

Got the broadcast sheet out of my '69 RR. Seems a bit brittle so afraid to flatten it. What tricks are there to flatten these? I plan to put into a plastic sleeve once I get it flat. Thanks.

Worked out the deal and put a deposit down today. Purchased from the original owner who is local. Told him he can come visit anytime.
