My front disc conversion journey (painfully long)

All brake lines are installed. Master Cylinder installed. I could be driving the car, but leaving the brake pedal disconnected until I get the switches and dimmer back from the rebuild guy. That switch pod is so difficult to get in and out I need that brake pedal out of the way. Wish me luck...

My front disc conversion journey (painfully long)

InLine Tube did reply, and I have to say I'm happy (although I probably won't have the lines for next weekend). Reply below: "Bill, the long line is the front to rear line for the car. The other 2 lines are a second set of right and left front lines and not rear axle lines. We apologize and...

My front disc conversion journey (painfully long)

I just noticed InLine Tubes eBay feedback; 99.3% positive. I assume that is really good over 3,000 sales, but in the last 6 months 13 negative and 11 neutral. Seems they ship incorrect parts from time to time. What really worries me is I read the feedback that their customer service is really...

My front disc conversion journey (painfully long)

Well I'm done for many days. It seems InLine Tube sent me the incorrect lines for the rear. If you look at the pictures, these are my last three remaining lines. The big line looks like it goes from front to back, okay, but the last two lines will not connect from the rear wheel cylinders to the...

My front disc conversion journey (painfully long)

Swapped rear wheel cylinders tonight. Removed the brake line Tee and cleaned up. Plan for tomorrow is to install the remaining brake lines. Any tips, tricks, or advice on routing the long line from the front to the back? Wish me luck!

Thanks. Long story for another pots, but I'm not a Harbor Freight kind of guy. I bought a set of ACDelco jack stands at O'Rielly that were 50% off sale priced at $14.99. Car is up on all fours. Next weekend new rear wheel cylinders, and plumb back to the proporting block. Might have my car on...

My front disc conversion journey (painfully long)

I'm heading out to the garage now. My plan for today is to get the driver's side rotor and caliper mounted. Should go easy, but I have said that before. QUESTION: I've got the car's front on jackstands. I only have two jackstands. Should I (one of the following) 1) Buy two more jackstands (at...

Really!!??!! I have some documentation from the guy I bought this car from that LL1 was only 0.4% of 68 Road Runner colors. At the first show I entered the car in I had several 'self proclaimed MOPAR experts' tell me they never made a LL1 Road Runner, even thou the fender tag sows the color.

My front disc conversion journey (painfully long)

Although I did not plan on wrenching on the Road Runner this weekend, I could not keep away from the car. My In Line Tube order arrived today, and I had to at least try to finish off the passenger side. Routed and contorted and contorted some more the brake line that runs across the firewall to...

My front disc conversion journey (painfully long)

Hi All: My first post here, and probably my longest post. Back in January, 2017 I finally found after a four year, 5 state search a 68 Road Runner. it's pretty much a driver and for sake of discussion it has solid bones, fairly good paint, perfect interior, and very solid, strong 383 auto...

You are correct, Coyote. What I expected to be a two weekend job has now run into it's forth weekend and I'm still not even at the half way point. I'm a bit over my head here, so I have decided to take a break and see what reinforcements can be called in to help. I'll start a thread in the...

I've owned three B Body Mopars with my first car a 69 Coronet, then a 68 Charger, then I went 20 years without any Mopar Muscle (drove and daily drive Mustangs). After a painful 4 year search going to five states I found a 68 Road Runner and got back into the saddle (Jan 2017). My car is far...
