    Pennzoil Synchromesh in a 4-Speed ?

I have a '70 RR w/ a 4 speed 833. Some of the local old Mopar guys swear by GM Vehicle Care Synchromesh, that is currently available at Chevy dealerships. At $15.00/Litre, it is quite pricey. Have others heard of this recommendation?

1970 RR Rear Trunk Lip ID

Same here...The car has a current FL registration, so I am hoping this will help me get the car through, but who knows. Again, it just boils down to who you get and the kind of day they are having. The power of authority!

1970 RR Rear Trunk Lip ID

My fingers are crossed. The problem is, many of today's DMV people have no clue about older cars and they are just following protocol. Some of them act like state troopers and just use their authority to make your life miserable.

1970 RR Rear Trunk Lip ID

It's Nevada. They are a real pain in the butt, when it comes to classic cars. Then again, it all depends on who you get. I had similar problems with a 1969 Charger a few years back. The Radiator support had come from another vehicle during a rebuild, so the Order # did not match the VIN #/Fender...

1970 RR Rear Trunk Lip ID

Couldn't find that one there either. A friend said that sometimes they are stamped on the support BETWEEN the support and radiator, so we are going to loosen the radiator next weekend and see. Numbers matching on the fender tag, the engine block and the vin # appears original with original...

1970 RR Rear Trunk Lip ID

Just a quick question. Despite removing the rubber molding and sanding the paint down, I cannot find any numbers on the drivers side lip trunk molding. Is it a 100% guarantee on 1970 cars this should be there? Thanks

    1970 Aluminum Edelbrock Manifold

Actually was able to get the number on the third carb. It is 3149, so this means 314th day of 1969. So, we have the below dates on a July 10 1970 car. January 22 1970 October 28 1969 November 10 1969 As you guys have said, anything is possible. Three carbs with an aluminum manifold mostly done...

    1970 Aluminum Edelbrock Manifold

Thank you both...I am going to get the date on the third code this weekend, just for kicks and see if it is near the other dates. I will post it here, once I get it. I appreciate both of your input! Sucks being a rookie at 57 years of age:thumbsup:

    1970 Aluminum Edelbrock Manifold

So directly over the List # (thanks for keeping me straight on that!), there is a number 0220 over the 4375. One of the other carbs has List # 4382 with a 3019 over it. Would this correlate to some sort of date? The build sheet indicates a 7/10/1970 manufacture of the car (as already mentioned).

    1970 Aluminum Edelbrock Manifold

This is a real mystery. The entire car is numbers matching and the manifold appears to be one of the Chrysler/Edelbrock issues vs an Edelbrock aftermarket version. Going to pull the carbs in the next few weeks to try to get some more codes. Thank again

    1970 Aluminum Edelbrock Manifold

Yes, carbs are date code correct. 4382, 4375, 4383.

    1970 Aluminum Edelbrock Manifold

Hi ACME...I have tried the Search bar and cannot find anything related to this subject. Sorry, I am new to this forum and maybe I am doing something wrong. Anyway, I should have been more clear in mentioning I knew about the aluminum manifolds in the early 70s RRs, but based on the fender tag...

    1970 Aluminum Edelbrock Manifold

From everything I have read, 1970 RRs all reverted back to cast iron intakes. My numbers matching 1970 440 +6 has an aluminum version. Is there any chance the factory had leftovers from 1969 that were put into some 1970 cars?
