    That is the chrome strip at the top of the door (and rear seat) trim panels, just below the painted part of the door. The "taxi cab" interior does not have them!

    Steve, Glad you found the problem sorry about the counterfeit box? I recommend a Pertronix system as a replacement, they are easy to install, cheap to buy and reliable. Or for the price of a MSD system you could get a proper Lucas system! Then when it quit working you would know why...

    I have mine wired through the ballast restsistor, as shown in Figure 3 of the instructions. No problems in over six years!
