Yes very nice. Good looking runner. Have you got bench seat or console with buckets. Like the interior pic's also. I would also stop to look at it.

Hey guys.
I drive a 69 Road Runner, 383, 4 speed manual tranny, bench seat, yatta, yatta, yatta.
Ok, when I'm shifting through the gears from 1st to 2nd, the ball of the shifter ends up jammed into my upper thigh/knee area.
I asked for some advice from a Hurst manufacturer/distributor to hopefully find a replacement that would sit higher, clear the bench seat and give me more room. The rep wrote me back the next day and told me there was nothing I could do.
Has anyone had the same experience and did you come up with a solution?
If there is nothing I can do then that's fine. I'll deal with it.
Thanks for your expertise.

Well might try to take the shifter and put it into a press. Rap it well with cloth or carpet. Bend it the way you want it. The bad thing is you might scratch the chrome if too aggressive or crack it. We too an old one and did that to it too get it the way we wanted it. Or get an old one and do that and have it chromed again. Russ. Just a thought.

Thanks. Gives me something to think about.

OK all you experts out there. Looking to do something with my steering box. A little too sloppy for me and I don't like it. Any suggestions for a new or rebuilt manual steering box. I appreciate the help. Thanks!!
