I know that GTX, did you get it from Chris?
My Roadrunner was previously owned by Chris. He sold it to a flipper as he needed the cash, never really wanted to part with it. I met him 7 years after I got the car. He's a nice guy, been helpful to me with the restoration process and provided a lot of historical information about my car. Do you have plans to restore it?

Well I am kinda in a mixed feelings mode with the X. As they say it is original only once, and the car was claimed to be a barn find that sat for 30 years by the person who owned it before Chris. I am not a real big green fan but the car is way too nice and completely unmolested and still has the original window sticker and paper work(no B/C sheet calif car). It really deserves to be restored to its original glory. I am leaning toward that end. I do not plan on flipping it.

Solid plan I think. I know Chris has been wanting another Rag Top Runner and found one. It's really rough so he need funds to get that project going. Probably why he let go of the GTX. Better not advertise you don't like green to loudly on this site, there are some big green fans. LOL. Good luck and have fun with the project!

LOL on the green issue I am indifferent on it, as I can remember back in the day it seemed like every other B Body was green, and I have had my share, a 70 X F8 with green buckets and gator grain top 4 speed, 70 Runner F8 with green buckets and top, both sorry I sold. Plus the Green Go Scat Pack setting behind the 69 X. Chris called earlier today and said he has a huge case of sellers remorse on the GTX, and said he is considering selling the 69 RR vert. & the F8 69 RR parts car....

Yah, he was sad to sell the car I have, but I had it for 7-years before we reconnected. Wes's site put us together. He wanted it back, but I put so much into it, I could not begin the think about selling it back to him. I brought it all back to the fender tag except for the Air Grabber. Stripped it down on the rotisserie and painted it B7, he had it B5. Re-did the Cam back to stock

Chris had a purple cam in it and it ran, well like a race car. I ripped off the Edelbrock Carb & Intake and found a stock intake (needle in a stack of needles) and Carter Carb. Try and rebuild one of those AVS Carbs some day, what a nightmare. Had the trans rebuilt, new lifters and push rods in the engine, as they were all bent up..

I hope he keeps the Rag Top, he really wanted one he could put back to what he liked so much about my car. I get it though, the car he has is really rough.

That is a lot of birds.... Love the orange bird with the Rod Lites. I have always liked those wheels.
