Stew's 68 - Unrestored two owner car

Currently, my 30 x 60 garage hold a 79 Runner, 70 Newport Convertible, 2 Model A Fords, and a '63 Imperial. For many years, it was also home to my unrestored '68 Hardtop, that I owned from '76 to 2013.

General Description

Owning a Mopar runs in the family. My Dad started driving Chrysler products in the 50's after Hudson went out of business. He had many New Yorkers, Imperials, Town & Country Wagons, 300's etc, through the years, My brother, who is 10 years older than me, bought a '68 Road Runner new. 383, 4-speed, red with the silver and black interior. He was 17. I thought that was the coolest car EVER! (still do). He traded it for a new Charger in '70. In the late 70's I started looking for a Road Runner for myself, working nights and weekends during high school. I acquired this '68 hardtop from the original owner. He never drove it in the winter, and was very meticulous about maintaining it, as you can see. He did have some body work done to the left rear quarter, due to an accident in 1969. I knew if anything happened to it while I owned it, I'd never find another like it. Sure, I had fun with it, but it got the same care from me that the previous owner showed it. The car still carries the original paint, upholstery, and even the spare tire it had when new. It is un-restored in the pictures, and had about 116k miles on it. A few years ago, being short on time for the cars, and needing some extra money for home repairs, etc., my wife and I decided to sell our favorite car, as it was the one that would bring the most money. I hope the current owner is enjoying it, and caring for it in the manner it had been used to. I owned the car from 1976 to 2013. I have many other pictures of the car on the hoist that I used when selling the car. Enjoy!
