Hey gang, I bought a GZ-712CRS Radiator Support to Hood Seal from Lawson's Restorations @ Carlisle and finally installed it tonight. 11 holes lined up OK but 2 holes in the rubber seal (marked in pics with yellow tape) are off ~ 1 inch horizontally. Did I put it on backwards or are the holes in the rubber seal not correct (one of the holes in my bracket to hood is off a bit vertically, not concerned about that). Attached are some pics, please advise...

Looks backwards to me. I don't have my B body to check it's in the body shop but my E body is reversed compared to yours.

Reversed. Want the air to blow into the closed section and have it push tighter against core support to close it off

It was missing when I bought the car but seemed like it made sense the way I installed it - so the "open" part of the rubber should face front?

Thanks team, issue sorted. I flipped it around now it fits! Seems strange that the "open" side faces front. Does this rubber make any difference in the motor temperature?

Drove 80 miles today didn't see any difference in temp, and after 40 miles at least 4 of the metal push fasteners popped out!
:beep:
