1st startup with new heads exhaust

The headers smoked from the header wrap and it took a couple times for it to go away but she starts up good for the most part.I have to check the timing,valve lash on the new victor heads,re torque them.

Is it the cam or the blower that causing the extreme lope?

Rich idle mix causes that lope.

I hear it a lot in blower motors, but never on normal aspirated or turboed cars. So I was never sure since I've never had one myself. I thought maybe they and an extreme cam or the blower was just surging air some how. Thanks for the answer. ;-)

I am happy just having built it for the love of doing so and I am sure the 9.0s are in my future even at 3900#.porn?yes and I get to touch her aside from looking at her.

Well The porting guy went too far and the heads leaked oil in the intake port from the oil hole to the rockers and I found this after getting it all togather that did not have to happin.He put a tube in the passage of each head and I sure hope I am good to go this time.
