3769902 Heads

I plucked the 69 style valve covers off the old parts engine which is apparently a morphed 383 factory warranty short block since the heads are 3769902.

Is it correct to assume these will have the hardened seats since they code as a 1974?

I would definitely believe so. Drop an exhaust valve out, clean up the seat area and look for a change in color between the valve seat and surrounding cast iron. If there is a discoloration you've got the hardened seats.
