69 Rear Fender Caps

Does Seam sealer go between rear fenders and caps on the 69?

Yea mine has it on the end caps. Before the fender was welded on. It was between the upper and lower cowl sections. Made it hard to weld but figured it out by taking a drill bit and cleaning my plug weld holes before welding. Kept a weed sprayer handy to put out the flames it dose burn. That is my fire extinguisher in my shop. Just cant use it on electrical . Russ.

Put mine on dry but they do make an ugly black gasket, Ive only seen them used on one car.
