When cold, if you press the accelerator once it should close completely. At least mine does.

Yes, closed and factory is an avs, not afb. You can adjust the choke stat. One press of the gas all the way down should cause it to close as was said.

Yes closed. Even though I have a Holley. Stat adjustment when cold.

Push the gas peddle to the floor one time then turn it over and start. Do not pump peddle.
