'70 air grabber font damper doesn't open/close

My '70 RR has an air grabber but I have to always run it open because the front damper does not open when the grabber is closed. Any ideas?

Linkage disconnected? I'd think if the damper was frozen in place the linkage would also keep the grabber from rising so maybe someone disconnected it.

Is the air vacuum actuator working. Seen someone else on site put an 2 inch Electric 12v one on his. Maybe some of the other guy's will chime in on your problem. Russ. :wave:

usually a bad vacumn on the mechanism, or s previously said, there is a disconnect or someone hooked it up backwards
