Good question. I an not expert by any means, but I think they could either have the Carter AVS or a Holly.

The reason I asked, the RR is at a friends house to do a repaint of the exhaust manifolds and tune-up. He mentioned that the car had the (we feel the dreaded Holley) and he thought they came with a Carter. So that's what generated the question and you just confirmed it is what it is. Just ought the car, (3rd owner) now with build sheets and 68,000 mi. Alot of original stuff to deal with.

A manual trans with out fresh air hood and with A/C used a Carter 4736. The rest had Holley carbs but there is about 8 different ones depending on equipment.

Jim i Think ECS is Electronic controlled Spark.

Here is a close up of the carb codes. Not sure if this is a production code or something else. Can anyone decode?

great car I love it

Thank you. We are the 3rd owner, the car was actually sold and resold to us through the original dealer (on paper) the car buff that had in between never registered it for 9 years hoping to increase his investment. But realized that the market has gone really soft and before it goes more soft decided to sell....along with other classics he had for the same purpose.
sskillett....(one hell of a fine mechanic with classics) has the car now fine tunning and cleaning up some original situations...the wife (which this is her car) is as anal as I am. Since Tod (sskillet) has been going through the car, we are finding out how nothing has been torched and still is as original as when it came out of the dealers. Besides getting the paperwork and broadcast sheets with it, it seems like a nice car.

The Holley 6160-1 is for a 72 car with a 440. the ones listed in my book for your car are R4368A or R4218A for California. I like the way the car is equipped on the tag

That makes sense. I know how to decode Pontiac stuff, this Mopar stuff is new to me. What is the '125888' on the body tag?

I am sure some others will chime in but the 330 would be the scheduled build date? March 30, 1970 ... 125888????
