Fellows I'm trying to decipher a timeline/date when this trans was built, etc.

The following is what I could gather from a stamping on the passenger side bell housing.

Stamping: 0B208008

Can you tell me something about it from this?:huh:

Looks like the last part of a VIN. If so the
0=1970
B=Hamtramck
the last 6 digits of the VIN

transmission ID numbers are stamped into the left hand side of the case flange next to the oil pan, should look like this PK 2801543K 2337 0938

yes, the first number you gave us should match the last 6 of your vin, if it doesn't then at some point the tranny was changed out. The last 6 are just the series number.

Hey btw, what year was this trans built???????

you never provided the other transmission number see above, or look at the tail section, should have a date could be on either side

PK = kokomo plant
2801543 = 1967 Polara, Monaco, Newport, Polica Package w/ 383, 1968 Belvedere, Coronet, Charger, Fury, Monaco, Polara and Newport with 383 2bbl
2337 = build date, December 21, 1967, number is based off of Chrysler's 10,000-Day Calendar
0938 = daily sequential number

Correct me if I am wrong but Hamtramck was a Dodge plant so your transmission is out of a 1970 Dodge
