I wanted to give it a few days for the members to express their opinions.

John has built a fantastic site with a bunch of great guys. He isn't really leaving us, just scaling back what he's doing on the site a bit. John, thank you for everything.

Don't worry everyone, I have no plans to screw the place up.. :)
 
It was a pleasure to see you in Carlisle again John, even if it was just for a short few minutes. You started something here that has truly allowed new guys like me find a place to learn from some of the most knowledgeable gentlemen in this hobby. I have made life lasting friendships with multiple members of the original board.

I wish you good health and good fortune, Sir. Enjoy life and family, and I will always consider you a good friend.
