Went to the car today after it has been sat for 3 weeks not started. It started OK but ran rough.I took the air cleaner off and cranked the engine again and fuel was bubbling from out of where the white arrow points. Why is this?

I'm going to say your rear float is stuck, The two float adjustment screws should have gaskets and snugged down tight enough not to leak.

Inlet valve (AKA needle and seat) stuck. The part your pointing to is the bowl vent. Everyone is right for the fix. I would like to ad though that I like to take them out and clean with aerosol carb cleaner and then WD40 (center of the universe right?) and reinstall it. On a rare occasion the float will spring a leak and fill with fuel. In that case you need to remove the bowl and inspect the float for fuel inside (thats if the float is hollow). Sometimes they stick from being dry and sometimes they stick due to dirt from a dirty fuel system.

Thanks for the replies, now running properly again.I'm assuming the jets as we call 'em over here were sticking because they were dry as there was no dirt when I took them out.I gave them a squirt of WD40 as you suggested Chris so hopefully that cures it
Be glad when I can get the car on the road again,no doubt it's lack of use causing them to stick in the first place.

Oh, very nice movie reference that you worked in there, Stuie...

They say that most ANYTHING can be fixed with WD40 or duct tape...I'd venture a guess that Mr. HemiBeep is a better candidate for the duct tape... :basketcase:
