New to the site and to MOPAR in general. A few of my buddies that are MOPAR crazy say I have finally came over to the dark side! LOL.
I have been a Hot Rodder all my life and I have raised a hot rod girl as well. She is car crazy and has wanted a Road Runner for a long time.
she just got engaged and her fiancé is Road Runner crazy too so I found them a really solid Road Runner project for a wedding present. Now
we are just about to start restoring it but I have been trying to track down some history on the car. I am at a dead end on the VIN side of
things thanks to the Federal Privacy Act so I am sort of left to my own devices. I will attached a few photos of the car and give you a brief
history of what I know so far. If anyone recognizes it and can help fill in some history blanks let me know. Thanks for reading. RB
1970 Plymouth Road Runner born in Michigan Orange with Black stripes and black vinyl roof. 383, 4 bbl, Auto Car, black interior with bench seat.
However all of that had been removed and white bucket seats of the era and white rear seat were placed in the car. It did come with a Dana 60. Its history
as I know it starts in Fairbanks Alaska in the mid 1980s (Call it '84-85'). At that time it had been painted a dark marron with silver (possibly gold) GTX
style stripes. It was abandoned at the Sophie Plaza Apartments in Fairbanks and I am told sat there for nearly 20 years. It was parked next to fence
near a road and in the winter the snow plows buried it. Around 2005 to 2008 Badger Towing and Auction Service finally picked up the car, did the title
work on it and sold it.
I have spoke with the next two owners that brings us to the present but I would sure like to know how it got to Alaska.
