Back seat insulation

Does the backseat insulation go in front of the cardboard toward the backseat, or behind the cardboard toward the trunk?

There is no correct answer to your question as the jute insulation was not available on the divider from the factory. From the factory you would have seen the plain cardboard divider as you peered into the trunk - so it would be my contention that the insulation should be on the side facing the back seat, which is how I did mine.
