Im swapping over to a used MP Electronic Igntion set I bought. The harness was alittle rough and cut short so I bought a new harness that is suppose to allow the orignal harness to just plug in and work.

Questions is the new harness is to be used with a 4-post Ballast, and Im running a 2 post. Is there any benifit to the 4 vs 2? I can just mod the new harness and make it work (still looking stock) for the 2-post, but wasnt sure if i should just pick up a 4-poster.

Thanks

Two post resistor.

The MP aftermarket systems used a 4 wire harness for the 2 post resistor and the factory systems used a 5 wire harness that used the 4 post resistor.

The 2 post will give you full voltage to the coil when you start the car.
