Are 68 and early 69 front Bench seats the same? At what point in 69 did they add the head resets? My car was built on 3/20/69?

I always thought of adding headrests to my '68. I also always wondered whether the frame is the same as headrest frames - meaning did Chrysler make two different backrest portions of the split bench seat?

I believe the seat frames are the same. I am ready to have the headrests installed on my seats as well. When I bought my car some years ago it had the original rear seat in it but the front was either a different one or someone had it recovered as it did not match the rear. When I had the legendary covers put on the installer said the mounting points for headrests are all there. I am pretty much done driving it for this year so I can take the seat backs off and take them in anytime now to have the headrests installed. :beep:

You gotta love this picture; it's like a worm hole back to a better day and time...just think...not a single hunda or turdyota in sight...Chrysler and GM were viable, vibrant corporations...and NO ONE HAD EVER EVEN HEARD OF COMMISSAR HUSSEIN OBAMA... :yesnod:

And to top it off that car cost me $3200 with my trade which was a 1962 Volvo 544....... I wanted a 383 but couldn't afford the extra which I think was $150 at that time. Anyway It was a great car! As we all have said I wish I had kept it
