I know some of you guys that have been lucky enough to have a Mopar around for alot of years,do you believe that their are some out there that have survived 50yrs without body filler and whats your best way of determining where on the body there might be filler??
Also do you believe that being said if the body filler and finish is done right it should be ok for years to come?

There are tools for checking try google. Or just take a flexible refrigertor magnet and see how well it sticks or if it does at all. There are some factory lead filled seams also.

Even brand new car's have skim coat's on them. Long as it is not a dent that they used an large amount of bond in and prepped properly before applying it should be their for a long time. Lot's of guy's have stripped their cars to repaint them and found body filler's. Like you here of guy's block and filling to straighten their car's before paint. Yes back in the day they used lead to fill low spot's or dents that could not be gotten all the way out. You will find led or filler where the roof meets the quarter pane. Also where the A piller meet's the Upper cowl. Think summit sell's a depth gauge for thick ness of paint and filler's. The old magnet trick is the best when buying a use car.
