Hello everyone I am a big fan of polishing/ waxing my car by hand. But I'm getting to age where its taking me a week to do my roadrunner. Does anyone have the Porter Cable 7424XP Polisher?
I've spent a lot of time watching videos and lots of reviews. Looks like an awesome tool with little risk of burning paint. Lots of different pads/chemicals avl depending on the job at hand. I've always been a Maguire's Mirror Glaze professional guy. Any thoughts? Thanks

I have one and it's a great tool, but you really only need it if you need to do some aggressive polishing to get out micro scratches.

I've been using the Duragloss products this past year and I'm pretty happy, but you can't go wrong with Collinite 845.

starting to think either me or the car is cursed......was going to keep this under my hat, but....
the buddy that did the body work came down with COPD so he couldn't spray it.
We got a new Pastor a couple years ago...and he owns his own restoration shop. Some of our church group had a cookout this summer, and he said he'd spray the car. He does top notch work. Well Tuseday he fell off a ladder and broke one of his wrists in five places.....:(

there's a thread over on the 'parts about Chrysler's new color....Destroyer Grey....maybe I started a new tread...

Was not for bad luck some of us would not have any luck at all. Battle ship gray is the navy's favorite color. Destroyer gray fit's. Also Rebel gray is southerners color. Or should I say us cracker's. The term came from cracking the whip while driving the buggy. So Gray is ok with me.

not saying yes...not saying no....but you might wanna watch your step Blue Boy........

Dave, I have some International Harvester red Rustoleum left over.

just what I need...cursed paint for a cursed car......maybe for the truck if I get the cab swapped before the snow flies......

What U need is a troll doll hanging from the mirror. That will get rid of you curse. And set the Mo Jo rite with the car. :poke:

Its Dave that is cursed, he burned the last roadrunner thinking that would rid him of it. :mob: Sorry that was kinda mean :steering:

yes it was and very hurtful......and I would have said it about you.......
