I went to my body guy today to see the progress that's been made over the few days he's had it.
I was pretty impressed considering the shape the rear of my car was in when I took it there about a week ago.
The drivers side quarter was hung today, and the drivers side outer wheelhouse was in, the trunk was in, along with both extensions, as well as the rear brace. Looked like a ton of patch work and modification work was done too, especially on the rear frame rails. Everything is still in rough shape, but it's cool to see the whole process!

Also, I finally located and purchased a solid deck lid today too. The guy I bought it from was a good guy, and had a pretty bad ass 69 GTX. I told him about the site, hopefully he'll join the crew! I posted a pic of his GTX below. It was a nice b5 driver with a non matching 440, with very nice black interior.

Everything is coming together nice. Check it out so far...

Update...
I picked the new deck lid up today from blast, and it came out very nice. That's the last major body piece needed.

I took the deck lid to my body guy and was impressed again. This guy's haulin' ass with the body work.

The passenger outer wheelhouse was in, as well as the quarter panel, and the rear end was in filler.

He'll be moving up to the floor pans tomorrow. All this in a little over a week!

I snapped a few more pics, check em out...

Just one at a time. I had to wait 15 months to get my car into his garage. He works right out of his 2 car garage. The day my car went in, a car went out a hour before.

I stopped by the body shop to check on my baby today. Things are looking very good! Today was Day 14, and look at all this work that's been done! A lot of the seams were sealed today. Look's like I'll have her back in 2-3 weeks in paint. She'll be an R4 beauty with black hood stripes.

I took my dad along with me. It was his first time seeing the car in years. He gave it to me when I was a kid, and it was in my garage for 11 years before I could afford to do anything to it. He hadn't even seen it sandblasted, so you can imagine how impressed he was to see all the progress that's been made.

Check out these pics a took this afternoon....

Very nice progress
Seeing your pictures brought back memories of restoring my 70 R/T
Almost the same work had to be done and my body man only did one car at a time also
Best wish's for completion

On a side note, does anyone have a picture of their floor pan?
My new floor pan's don't have holes drilled for the outside seat belt, and I need a reference point so we don't have to drill and fill.
