One of my co-workers snapped these at the weekly Quaker Steak & Lube gathering in Pinellas Park, FL last Thursday night and sent them to me knowing that I am a RR/X fan. Don't know anything about the cars - and he's not really a car guy so he gave me no info on them. Haven't seen either car in person before - just something for you guys to look at...

hey that looks like Steve's car, thanks for sharing Ray.

I'm surprised you posted a GREEN car Ray! :jester: :acme:
They both look great. :yesnod:

That's what I thought too Dave! Interesting choice of wheels and covers. Were the cop wheels and dogdishes with the holes available on '69s? My buddys '68 RR has them. I don't remember seeing a '69 with them before.

You guys did notice that the purple "bird" is actually a GTX, right? I thought so...

I Don't think those slotted cop wheels were available until about '78...IIRC...someone that is a bonafide cop car aficionado can chime in... :yesnod:

Looks like the green RR is right up my alley...post car with no A87...I like 'em stripped down and ready for action... I may swing by there tomorrow evening to see if the guy shows up again or find out if anyone there knows him/the car...

My 69 had those wheels with rings

Thanks Ray, you know I love pics.

Bob, when you put the Redlines on your car it made it look totally different in a good way!

nice looking B-bodies and all you can eat for 5 bucks

X2 The place is Quaker Steak & Lube. They are mostly in Pa. and Ohio with a few farther out. It has a race car atmosphere. When I go back to Cleveland I try to stop in at least once for the wings and ribs.

I've been to them all over the place; Cleveland, Columbus, Erie, Pinellas Park. Nothing comes close to the original in Sharon. The franchises are just generic newbies with limited charm compared to that old gas station.
