Ever seen this?

No idea. I thought the converter locked up. It would not idle at a stop sign or red-light. My friend Cliff was looking at it and he thought the same thing. He just decided to get a timing light out and check it, timing was all over the place. He took the distributor cap off and the rotor button as you saw was messed up. He has fooled with mopars his entire life and never saw this before. He put a new on, set the timing at 34 and it has ran perfectly. Amazing the crazy stuff that can happen.
 
Some kind of foreign object got in there that caught that ? We in the aerospace industry worry about FOD every day.
