Anyone interested in buying another runner.I think it time to let her go!After said repairs....

To me that would be the time to make it akeeper and run it like it should be.

Why make repairs for the next buyer to have the fun with the car.

I wouldn't feel right about the car.I would tell the next owner everything about the car,any repairs it may need .I want the next owner to know everything about the car no mysterys and I don't like f--king anyone on a car.I take pride in this car and want it to go to a good home....

I think you missed my point and it was not to sell the car and try and stiff somebody what I meant was why go thru all the trouble and fix the needed stuff and have the car running good and get rid of it.

That would be the time to injoy it.

exactly, I've never bought a 40+ year old car and not had things to repair, just let the buyer know what you know.

Yeah I have the dreaded headers and I tighten the bolts (not studds) on mine every third time I run it to keep from hearing the putt putt putt! If you use studs it make the job of changing the gasket so much of a pain

I had never heard of that name before but I've seen the tear drop piece used behind big truck tire lug nuts which I assumed were to show if a lug nut had loosened up.

IIRC Macks use something called a muffler bearing...but it's been almost 20+ years since I dealt in truck parts.

stage eight is one brand of header bolts that don't loosen up. see the picture put up by Bob, the other ones I was referring to are a shouldered bolt that has a set of grooves under the shoulder that keep the bolt from turning. some examples are percys vibe-lock or proform wedge-locking header bolts
