does anyone have any pics of where to mount the steering column ground wire and where it mounts to the dash.

Added an "S" to teering for you.

IIRC, the ground wire is attached to one of the bolts that hold the column to the body under the dash. It may have been one nut to hold it and a second nut to clamp the wire.

If there is a a ground wire (as shown) attached to one of the bolts that hold the column, and a ground for a backlit mechanical gauge e.g. oil pressure attached in a similar fashion to the other bolt, would there be any problem with that? Just curious...

So take one end and attach it to the bolt on column and the other end to the gas gauge the one that is not hot right?
