Not sure where to post this. My GTX radio needing repair. Anybody with recommendations where to send it. I've read horror stories about not being repaired correctly, damaged and taking months to get back.

Don't know him personally but he's been a member over on Moparts since 2004 and never heard a bad thing about him or his business. In fact I've only heard good things and plan to send my GTX's 8-track to him. http://wardsclassiccarradiorepair.com/

On a side note I got to meet and become friends with another GTX vert owner at a local cruise when his wife asked if my 8-track worked because the one in her husband's GTX didn't? I said no it's not working on the tape part either but I planned to send it to Greg's place when I had the chance. I got them the address but don't know it they sent it there yet either. Anyway that's the only place I know of that the owner could be asked questions over on Moparts by pm, might give it a try.

You could do an update to the radio too. I have a similar conversion done to the radio (by the previous owner) and it's pretty good. The newer conversions are better.

There are others that do the conversions using the same components, but I suggest talking to this guy: http://www.garytayman.com/stereo.htm

AZ Desert,
I sent mine to Wards and I need to pull it again and send it to a different vendor. They did get it to work sort of.

I sent my AM to Devin Duke. He turned it around in a couple of days and the price was very reasonable. I use a stock dashboard speaker, so the sound is AM mono. I have a redi-rad to play my iPod, but sounds fairly bad (mono, no power, dash speaker). I understand that Aurora makes the best modern upgrades. They have a number of dealers. Am planning to add a modern high power car stereo with a sub in the trunk, all controlled by a remote.
