After months of a strange electrical discharge that only occurs every now and then and managed to kill one battery... I finally found the source!

As usual, it was something stupid.

Anyone want to take a guess?

Nope, although once I did drain a battery with the electric choke hooked up in the wrong place Tom, lol.

Ready?

The binding post that holds the main wire on the alternator was loose. The nut that holds the wire on was tight, but the post itself was NOT!

I couldn't figure out why I'd be sitting at a light and it's discharging and the next light it was charging. Driving down the road it'd be discharging, hit a bump then it's charging again. I knew at that point it was something LOOSE and only making contact every now and then. While I HOPE this is the end of my charging issue... I'm sure something else will pop up next month, lmao!

now if it was a 2009, you'd still be checking those high priced sensors!

That's pretty wild...and something to keep in mind moving forward...

You sure the Backstreet Boys didn't have some role in this...?
