So I bought a Mopar Performance .020 steel head gasket to help with my CR issue on the 383 build.

The block was squared and he just sent me a pic of a pison in the hole .008. He then goes on to tell me that the compressed thickness of the .020 gasket is .025. Does this sound right? He swears to me he measured it, but I don't have the highest confidence.

Thoughts?

Can't get thicker.

.017" rings a bell for compressed thickness of a stock gasket.... or that .020 gasket is compressed thickness and it actually measures .025" "uncompressed".
