headlight bezels

so I thought I'd try my hand at redoing the argent paint on my bezels. either someone had cleaned thwe argent paint off mine, or they weren't rr pieces. I ordered some paint from Totally Auto. anything special I need to do before painting? lightly scuff the metal, primer needed? I know someone here did there's, but I can't remember who.

I know Mac and myself have. I just cleaned them good and used a gray scotchbrite before paint...

I used their paint on my tail light bezels its good paint.
