The key switch is toast. I haven't had any luck finding a locksmith locally that can help repair it.

So

Time to go thug style.

I can get the starter to work. I tied the IGN 1 and IGN 2 terminals together, but get no spark. Car starts really easy normally so it shouldn't take much if it is hook up right.

Do I need to tie two different wires?

Jumper wire from battery to ballast resistor on the key side.

If you can keep the wire connected to the ballast resistor, that will be better as the alternator will still charge.

I got the switch fixed, but I'll have to remember that for the future.

Or not forget, I think I did that back in the day to get a car going. I hate to forget things.

Thanks!

Oh and my story about getting the lock fixed is one for the books. Maybe someday I will post it. It makes me lose faith that the country will make it another 20 years. :leave:
