Hood on my 69 RR

Having a hard time getting the Hood to lay down even in the front on each side of the fenders Stops turned all the way down ,All gaps are very good to the fenders and the cowl and the front of the hood are even to the front of the fenders and to the rear to the cowl. Have elongate the latch holes a bit and that help some .
and it is up about 1/16 of and inch in the front on both sides the same and the hood feels very secure .
should I live with this !! My body man is not happy with this and seems a bit Baffled. :ack:

I bet your hinges need more adjustment. One is probably holding a corner up.
 
I have a friend that worked in Chry. engineering in the 60's and he just laughed when I talked about the gaps and fitting the panels. They were not making watches
 
Finely !! Got the hood adjusted after two days !! Thanks for all the replies !!!!
 
looks good. Now you can do this so the blue does not glare threw the grill
