Hello everyone,

Restoring my dads first car here, 69 RR 383 4 speed, N96, console bucket car.

Back in the day he took off the oem steering wheel and replaced it with a small hot rod one, he said he didn't like the big one since he had power steering anyways. This after market wheel did not have horn provisions so he wired up a little horn button on the side of the column that worked. I want to get everything back to oem and just plug the tiny hole that he drilled.

I found the oem wheel and horn switch in next to perfect shape in the trunk. I cannot for the life of me find a good picture of what needs to be reconnected and where. You can see in the pics the black wire that he cut and soldered on a red wire for the aftermarket switch, does that get reconnected to the cut wire right above it? And what wire getsImageUploadedByTapatalk1401493352.751267.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1401493363.038945.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1401493372.001175.jpg connected to the spade on the horn switch? Wouldn't a wire connect to that get twisted when turning? Is the little wheel on the post supposed to be spring loaded? Am I missing any parts or a ground wire? I'm stumped, school me please.

Does anyone have a good picture of this system all connected or would anyone happen to have their wheel off so they could snap a pic for me? Thanks in advance for the help!

I have a factory service manual... It only shows a diagram of the basic steering wheel not the deluxe I think it's called

The spliced wire connects to the spring loaded wheel thing. The horn switch connection hooks to the wire coming off the contact ring on the back of the steering wheel.
