Its time for the lefties to go- can I just pound out the rear wheel studs with the axle in place? Will that distort the axle flange?

Yes, you can just knock them out. It doesn't take much.

I like the left hand studs myself... Kind of like the gear reduction starter. :pot:

Hmmmm you've convinced me to leave them alone but I need another rainy-day project now. :toetap:

Mine are left hand! Now if I could get a gear reduction starter to work :D

That's why you should always park at the top of a hill, so you can roll down and pop the clutch if the starter fails. Or keep an extra in the glovebox.

If you recall, I kept the LH studs when I put the Halibrands on, smarty-pants. :D
And if you read the "WINF" thread you'll find that I'm keeping the GR starter...at least for now...

You mean like we keep extra ballast resisters in the glove box! :jester:

The only one left on my car that is left hand thread is the driver's side rear. When I replaced the rotors up front they came with right hand threads. I'll convert it over one day soon. If you ever take your car to a tire store for any work make sure to tell them the driver's side has left hand threads or they'll break them off for sure.

It must be called a mini starter for some reason. :stooges:

I have officially hijacked my own thread... how in the world could I have let this happen?
