Have the original in-dash tachometer in my 69 runner and have installed new MSD ignition with 383 pro street motor. Tachometer now bounces around wildly. Does anyone know if there is an electrical kit/part/converter that will change the signals to the tachometer so that it will work correctly.

There is, msd makes one. Think it is about 30-40 bucks. Takes your tach signal and alters it to work with the old tach. Jegs and summit both carry it

Its called a tach adapter. The reason yours jumps around is the MSD sends multiple signals to the coil per fire hence the name Mulitple Spark Discharge. They are very easy to install.
